Elva Yañez

Elva Yanez is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in health equity and environmental planning. Currently serving as the Senior Advisor for Parks, Land Use, and the Built Environment at the Prevention Institute since January 2015, Elva also holds the position of Principal at Colibri Strategies Inc. since 2009, a consulting firm dedicated to supporting non-profit organizations, government agencies, and foundations. Previously, Elva directed the Audubon Center at Debs Park from 2006 to 2008 and acted as a Grant Liaison for Smokeless States between 2000 and 2002. Elva holds a Master of Science degree in Library and Information Management from the University of Southern California.
