Associate Program Director at Prevention Institute

Katie Miller is the current Program Manager at Prevention Institute. Prior to this, they worked as a Community Outreach Specialist with Public Health Institute from November 2012 to November 2014 as part of CDC's Community Transformation Grant initiative in California (CA4Health). From May 2011 to November 2012, Katie worked as a Program Analyst/Communications Specialist with NACCHO where they collaborated with national partners and team members to plan project components, developed and disseminated tools and resources, and provided technical assistance to local health departments as part of CDC’s ACHIEVE initiative. Katie also provided health communication expertise to NACCHO’s chronic disease team and community health team, including communications and marketing strategy, writing and editing capacity, web content and design, social media promotion, and grant writing. Prior to their work with NACCHO, Katie worked as a Health Education Program Consultant with the Florida Department of Health from September 2009 to May 2011.

Katie Miller went to UC Berkeley for their BA in political science and then to Tulane University for their MPH in health education and communication.

They are on a team with Madison Do Linh - Program Assistant, Wil Crary - Associate Program Manager, and Ruben Cantu - Associate Program Director. Katie Miller reports to Sheila Savannah, Managing Director.
