Chet Robie

Chet Robie is a tenured Full Professor in the Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources Management group at the Lazaridis School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University, where tenure has been held since July 2003. In addition to academic roles, Chet serves as a Scientific Advisor for Prevue since December 2020, providing guidance on best practices in pre-hire assessments. Previously, Chet contributed to SkillSurvey as a member of the Advisory Board from 2007 to October 2022, offering insights on reference-checking practices. Academic experience includes positions as an Assistant Professor at both Niagara University and the University of Houston, and prior work as a Senior Researcher at Personnel Decisions International. Early career experience includes serving as a Personnel Management Specialist at the U.S. Office of Personnel Management. Chet earned a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Bowling Green State University and holds both a Master of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Towson University.
