James Melcer

James Melcer is an accomplished sales leader with extensive experience in driving growth and building high-performing teams across various organizations. Currently serving as Senior Vice President of Sales at Prezent since August 2025, James leads global go-to-market strategies and drives both product-led growth and strategic enterprise expansion. As a Limited Partner at Stage 2 Capital, James advises early-stage founders and go-to-market leaders in scaling B2B software companies. Previously, James held various leadership roles at Smartsheet, where significant contributions included building and scaling sales organizations and driving substantial revenue growth. James' career began at Get In Sell Out, where efforts led to remarkable growth in sales and customer success for a vertical SaaS startup, and earlier at NXGEN Payment Services, pioneering a new U.S. territory with outstanding performance outcomes. James holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management from the University of Southern Maine.
