Ed Claughton has a diverse work experience that spans over the past two decades. Ed founded and currently serves as the CEO of PRI Management Group since 2014. Prior to that, they worked at Coral Gables Police for almost 20 years, holding various roles such as Lieutenant, Sergeant in Police Records & Data Management, Detective, Police Officer, and Public Information Officer. During their time at Coral Gables Police, they successfully rebuilt the Police Records and Data Management Unit, implemented updated policies and protocols, and significantly improved report turnaround time and accuracy rates. Ed also gained expertise in law enforcement technology implementations and developed training programs in report writing and UCR.
Ed Claughton completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans, where they studied from 1989 to 1994. Ed then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice from Boston University, attending from 2002 to 2004. In 2008, Ed Claughton participated in the FBI Law Enforcement Executive Development Association's XXVII Command Institute for Law Enforcement Executives.
In 2018, Ed Claughton completed the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Businesses Program, earning a Certificate of Entrepreneurship with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General.
Additionally, Ed Claughton holds various certifications. Ed is a Certified Law Enforcement Auditor from the International Law Enforcement Auditors Association and a Florida Certified Public Records Manager from Florida State University.
