Alma Adajar-Aban

Alma Adajar-Aban, CIA, CRMA, possesses extensive experience in internal audit and internal controls, currently serving as First Vice President of Internal Audit and Internal Controls at PriceSmart since February 2001. Alma has managed internal audit engagements for a $3 billion retail company across fourteen countries in the Caribbean, Central America, South America, and the USA. Notably, Alma led the successful implementation of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act for PriceSmart, Inc. in the same regions. Previous professional roles include positions at Ayala Health Care, Inc., and San Miguel Foods, Inc., where responsibilities ranged from financial analysis to accounts payable management. Alma holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from De La Salle University and furthered professional development in people and process management.
