Christopher Joell-Deshields has a diverse work experience spanning various industries.
Christopher has held several positions at Pride in London, starting as Director of Community Engagement from November 2018 to March 2021. Christopher then became Executive Director from March 2021 to January 2023, and currently serves as the Chief Executive from November 2022.
Prior to their role at Pride in London, Christopher worked at Sense as the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Lead from September 2020 to November 2022.
Christopher also worked at the Government of Bermuda - London Office as the Assistant Director from April 2009 to December 2014.
Before that, Christopher had a role at the Bermuda Department of Tourism as the Regional Sales Manager from November 2005 to March 2009. In this role, they were responsible for developing the regional sales plan, managing marketing initiatives, and evaluating competitor destinations.
Christopher'searlier experience includes working as the Operations Manager at Ramada Hyde Park from January 2004 to October 2005. In this position, they oversaw hotel operations, managed teams, and focused on delivering exceptional customer service.
Christopher Joell-Deshields obtained their BA in International Relations & Diplomacy from Schiller International University from 1993 to 1997. Christopher has also obtained several additional certifications. In December 2021, they earned an Ethical and Inclusive Leadership Certificate from the University of South Florida Muma College of Business. In May 2021, they received a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Lastly, in November 2022, they became a Mental Health First Aider through Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England.
