Fatima Chamali

Fatima Chamali has a extensive work experience in the field of risk management and insurance. Fatima currently serves as the Director of Operational Risk Management & Insurance at Primaris REIT, where they are responsible for establishing and managing the operational risk program and framework. Prior to this, they worked as the Manager of Strategic Risk Management & Insurance at QuadReal Property Group, where they implemented and maintained various insurance programs and managed claims and litigation processes. Fatima also has experience in the public sector, having worked at Toronto Community Housing in roles such as Supervisor of Risk & Insurance and Coordinator of Claims Management. Additionally, they are a member of the Board of Directors and Director of Professional Development at RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society, Inc.)-Ontario Chapter.

Fatima Chamali obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English from the University of Toronto in 2007. In 2014, they obtained the CIP Designation (Chartered Insurance Professional) from the Insurance Institute of Canada. Fatima then pursued a CRM Designation (Certified Risk Manager) in Enterprise Risk Management at the University of Toronto, which they completed in 2016. Fatima also obtained a CRM certification from the Global Risk Management Institute and a Risk Management Certificate from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies in the same year.
