Derek Pierce

Derek Pierce has a diverse work experience in the music industry. Derek is currently working at Primary Wave as the Director of Creative Sync, starting in November 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of Associate Director of Creative Sync at the same company from January 2022 to November 2023 and Manager of Sync from April 2020 to January 2022. Before joining Primary Wave, Derek worked at Secret Road Music Services as the Manager - Advertising & Branding from October 2019 to March 2020. Derek played a crucial role in establishing the company's presence on the East Coast and pitching the catalogue to advertising clients. Derek also worked at Bank Robber Music as the Creative Licensing Manager from February 2013 to September 2019. Derek'sresponsibilities included pitching music to music supervisors and creating a database for TV series. Additionally, they worked at Gravitation Records as the North American Liaison from January 2014 to April 2017, where they assisted with A&R and financial duties. Furthermore, Derek has experience as a Music Supervisor for The Nymphets and has worked as a Transcriber, Music Curator, and Music Marketing Assistant/Nylon TV Music Coordinator in various freelance and Nylon Magazine roles.
