Iain Belcher

Iain Belcher has over 30 years of work experience in various leadership roles within the engineering field. Iain is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Prime Downhole Manufacturing LLC since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Veretek from July 2017 to August 2021 as the Director of Product Engineering, where they led the engineering efforts for the company's pump design and development.

From April 2014 to July 2017, Iain served as the Vice President of New Product Development at Roper Pumps, where they led the entire product development process from idea generation to launch. Iain also held the position of Project Vice President from April 2013 to April 2014, overseeing the construction and start-up of a new manufacturing facility in Houston.

Before joining Roper Pumps, Iain worked at Robbins & Myers from 2003 to 2013. During this time, they served as the Engineering Director, leading engineering activities within the Energy Services Group and merging multiple departments into one engineering team. Iain also held the role of New Product Development Manager, implementing a stage gate process for tracking new product development projects.

Iain started their career at Mono Pumps in 1987 and held various positions including Operations Manager and Engineering Manager. Iain was responsible for managing divisions, leading new product engineering and supply chain activities, and implementing business process re-engineering projects.

Throughout their career, Iain has demonstrated their expertise in product engineering, new product development, manufacturing processes, customer support, and project management.

Iain Belcher's education history begins in 1980 when they attended The University of Salford. Iain pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering and completed their studies in 1983. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Warwick in 1984 and obtained a Master of Science degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering, finishing in 1987. Finally, Iain pursued a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at Cranfield University from 1987 to 1990.
