Karl Pomeroy

Karl Pomeroy has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Karl began their career in 1974 as a Jig & Fixture Builder at Goodban Tool Co., where they completed a four-year apprenticeship and worked as a shop supervisor for two years. From 1984 to 1990, Karl worked as a Manufacturing Planner at Planetics Engineering Inc., where they planned, scheduled, and executed special projects for the manufacturing department.

Karl then worked at Yale Engineering as a Toolmaker from 1990 to 1993, designing and fabricating tooling and quality gages for a screw machine products manufacturer. Karl also rebuilt and maintained machine tools during this time. From 1993 to 1996, Karl served as a Manufacturing Engineer at LeFiell Manufacturing, where they developed CNC programming for production machine tools and performed troubleshooting and diagnosis on work centers.

At Hood Precision Products Inc., Karl worked as a Manufacturing Engineer from 1996 to 1998. Their responsibilities included designing tools for screw machines, managing two Toolmakers in a modern tool room, and programming CNC machines. Karl then joined Alger Manufacturing Co. as a Manufacturing Engineer from 1998 to 2000, where they designed special machine tools and assisted in ISO-9000 implementation.

Karl worked as a Manufacturing Engineer at Clayton Industries from 2000 to 2001, designing weld fixtures and tooling for manufacturing and setting standards and procedures. Karl then served as an Engineering Manager at Fiber Care Baths from 2001 to 2004, coordinating engineering functions and designing and developing new products and systems.

From 2004 to 2006, Karl owned their own company, Concepts Engineering, where they consulted with clients on product design and development, designed and built product prototypes and production tooling, and organized and maintained clients' engineering document database.

Most recently, Karl worked at Prime Line Products as the Senior Director of Engineering from 2006 onwards. In this role, they coordinated engineering activities for the corporation, managed product design and manufacturing engineering teams, and established tasks and priorities.

Throughout their career, Karl has gained extensive experience in engineering, manufacturing, tooling, and product design and development.

Karl Pomeroy pursued their undergraduate education from 1985 to 1991 at California State University, Long Beach. During this period, they studied Manufacturing Engineering and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in the same field.
