Joe Lonsdale

Joe Lonsdale has a diverse and extensive work experience. Joe started their career as an intern in PayPal, where they gained knowledge about the financial transaction business. Later, they joined Clarium Capital as a Principal, playing a crucial role in building the fund into a successful multi-billion dollar enterprise. During their time at Clarium Capital, they managed an engineering and research team and conducted extensive research on the international economic picture. Additionally, Lonsdale founded Palantir Technologies, a technology company specializing in data analysis, and served as its founder. Joe also founded and was a partner at Formation 8, a venture capital firm. Lonsdale has held several board memberships, including The Seasteading Institute, where they contributed to discussions on innovation in governance, and Strive for College, an organization focused on creating opportunities in education. Currently, Lonsdale is a General Partner at 8VC, a venture capital firm they co-founded in 2015.

Joe Lonsdale obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Stanford University, attending from 2000 to 2003.
