Thijs Emondts

Thijs Emondts is a Principal who joined Prime Ventures in 2019.

Before joining Prime, Thijs was at Uber, where he was the General Manager for the Rides business in the Benelux region, one of Uber’s priority markets in EMEA.

Having joined Uber in 2014, Thijs has gained broad experience managing through explosive growth, navigating the complexities of rapidly scaling operations in the O2O (Online2Offline) space, leading complex deregulation efforts, as well as building and structuring teams to adapt to an organization shifting from start-up to scale-up to being a publicly listed company.

Thijs started his career in Investment Banking and spent 6 years at Credit Suisse, where he was involved in M&A and Capital Market transactions with a focus on Tech (semi-conductors, e-commerce, fintech), Capital Goods and Private Equity.

Thijs holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MSc degree in Finance from the RSM Business School (Erasmus University) in Rotterdam.

Thijs currently serves on the board of Orderchamp.
