Nick Sternowski

Nick Sternowski began their career as a Submarine Officer in the US Navy from August 2000 to May 2007. Nick then worked at NextEra Energy, Inc. as an Operations Shift Manager and Senior Reactor Operator from May 2007 to January 2013. Following that, they joined Jensen Hughes and held various roles including Lead Engineer, Engineering Consultant from January 2013 to 2017, Manager of Risk-Informed Engineering from 2017 to 2019, Engineering Director of Risk-Informed Applications from 2019 to 2020, and Senior Director of the Midwest region from 2020 to 2022. Currently, they serve as the Director of Operations at Primera Engineers starting from January 2022.

Nick Sternowski has a diverse education history. Nick holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. Nick also obtained a Master's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from Old Dominion University.

In addition to their formal education, Nick has obtained several certifications. Nick is a US Navy Engineer Officer, having completed their training with the US Navy in 2005. Nick is also certified as an Engineer in Training (EIT) by the State of Iowa, which they achieved in 2002. Furthermore, they hold the title of Senior Reactor Operator, accredited by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission since October 2009.
