Seemab Islam

Seemab Islam is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in the chemical and metallurgy sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer at Primero Group since May 2023, Seemab previously held various engineering and leadership positions at Alcoa from February 2005 to April 2023, including Project Engineer for High Purity Alumina, Group Leader for Equipment Care Team, Process Coordinator, Area Chemical Engineer, and Process Engineer. Seemab’s expertise includes process design, simulation modeling, and team leadership. Prior to Alcoa, Seemab worked at Rio Tinto Alcan as a Crew Leader and Process Engineer, focusing on carbon production and systems deployment. Academically, Seemab holds an MBA from Murdoch University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Chemical from the University of Sydney.
