Dr. Jan Friedemann Plaul

Dr. Jan Friedemann Plaul has extensive experience in the metallurgy and ironmaking sectors, currently serving as the Head of Iron- & Steelmaking, ECO Solutions, and other leadership roles at Primetals Technologies since March 2015. Prior to this, Dr. Plaul held various positions at Siemens from November 2005 to March 2015, including Head of Ironmaking and Product Life Cycle Manager. Additionally, Dr. Plaul worked as an Assistant Professor at the University of Leoben, focusing on reduction metallurgy research. Dr. Plaul holds a doctorate in metallurgy from Montanuniversität Leoben, an MBA in Generic Management from the same institution, and a degree in Metallurgy and Material Science from RWTH Aachen University.
