The culture of the vine is in the DNA of the Primosic family, the genetic heritage that we’ve passed down for many generations. 
Our history, is made of proper nouns: types of earth, naturally favorable for the ripening of grapes – the Collio and Oslavia – but above all, names of the people who, with their work, have helped to grow an ancient tradition.
Primosic winery is located in Oslavia, “cradle” of the Ribolla Gialla grape variety, in the hearth of the Collio DOC area, where the pedoclimatic characteristics create a unique microcosm, nestled between the peaks of the Julian Alps and the Adriatic Sea.
The Primosic family has ancient roots: in the Theresian cadastre of 1751, Primosic was registered as owner of vineyards in Oslavia. The first name is that of Karlo Primosic, who, at the end of the 19th century, supplied the wine merchants, that from the south of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, took the precious product to the capital Vienna.
The “Number One”, the first bottle of the Collio DOC appellation, was produced by Primosic and represents the long company history and the commitment for quality and respect for the territory. 
The winery is now managed by the brothers Marko and Boris, together with their father Silvan, whom carry on the family tradition with unchanged passion; meanwhile, the fifth generation approach the family business with curiosity and respect, in a continuos comparison among different generations.
For Primosic the art of wine is a tailoring work, made with attention and care, aiming to produce unique wines, with personality and character.
The production reflects the philosophy and the values of the family: to interpret the territory means to enhance the grape varieties in a personal way, creating something unique and unrepeatable. Minerality, freshness, but also complexity, structure and elegance, are some characteristics of the wines from the Primosic winery.
