Anant Patkar

Anant Patkar currently serves as the Senior Director of Technical and Business Operations at Primrose Bio, a position held since September 2023. Previously, Anant held the same title at Ligand Pharmaceuticals from January 2021 to September 2023, focusing on business analysis and leading vaccine carrier protein franchise initiatives. Anant was with Pfenex Inc. from June 2009 to December 2020, where roles included CMC Fellow, Senior Director responsible for biosimilars development, and Director overseeing technical operations and outsourced manufacturing. Earlier experience includes a Group Leader position at The Dow Chemical Company, focusing on biopharmaceutical purification processes, and as a Scientist/Principal Investigator at the National Chemical Laboratory, leading various bioprocess development projects. Anant earned a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering from Purdue University and a Bachelor of Chemical Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
