John Doyle

Chief Infrastructure Officer at Primus Green Energy

John Doyle has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry. John began their career in 1998 as the Vice President of Technology and Business Development for Verenium. In this role, they assembled and managed a technology group and developed a leading edge biofuels technology. John also contributed to raising over $15 million in venture capital and private equity investments. In 2009, they joined Vercipia Biofuels, LLC as the Vice President of Project Technology. Here, they led a design team that developed a first-of-a-kind commercial-scale Process Design Package for a new cellulosic ethanol process. In 2011, they moved to BP Biofuels as the Head of Applied Engineering. In this role, they were directly responsible for the transfer of new technology to commercial scale and for the development of the core process design for the commercial build program. John also led a hand-picked cross-functional team in a five month mission-critical effort to simplify the process and improve project financials. In 2013, they joined Primus Green Energy as the Chief Infrastructure Officer. In this role, they were responsible for developing and executing Primus' commercial build program, assembling a team to take the company's new proprietary technology from demonstration scale through to commercial operation in multiple facilities.

John Doyle attended Cornell University from 1979 to 1982, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. John then attended the University of Virginia Darden School of Business from 1990 to 1991, where they earned an MBA.
