Currently serving as Captain on the patrol vessel Amwaal for the Prince Rupert Port Authority since June 2015, Kevin previously captained a 35 ft landing craft at Inlet Express, delivering fuel, cargo, and machinery to outlying villages and supporting LNG operations at LELU Island. Kevin's background includes roles as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Foreman at Skeena Cellulose, managing equipment and crew, as well as seasonal work as a Commercial Halibut Fisherman with Ocean Fish, navigating challenging conditions off the west coast. Early career experience also includes logging and equipment operation. Kevin holds a Grade 12 Diploma from Caledonia Senior High and has foundational education from Elkpoint, Alberta.
