Dr. Dhafer Almakhles

Dr. Dhafer Almakhles, SMIEEE, serves as the Director of the Research & Initiatives Center at Prince Sultan University since August 2016, where additional roles include Manager of the Research, Development and Innovation Unit, Associate Professor, Chairperson, and Director of the Science and Technology Unit & Intellectual Property Office. Dr. Almakhles also holds the position of External Accreditation Reviewer at the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation since October 2020 and leads the Renewable Energy Research Lab at the Renewable Energy Laboratory since November 2016. Other roles include Supervisor at Nara Club and Lecturer at Queens Academic Group from February 2011 to July 2016, focusing on courses such as Engineering Mathematics and Electric Circuits. Prior experiences include teaching assistance roles at the University of Auckland and engineering positions at Saudi Electricity Company and Schlumberger. Educational qualifications include a PhD and Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Auckland and a Bachelor's degree from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
