Christian Pleasant has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Starting in 2002, they worked as a Centre Manager for National Planning Services, a Finance & Investments Property Firm, until 2004. Christian then transitioned to a similar role as a Centre Manager for First National Real Estate from 2004 to 2006. From 2006 to 2013, Christian held multiple roles at KOI Group, including National Operations Director, where they focused on project and solution-based Telecommunication services. In 2009, they founded AvidX, a recruitment services company specializing in Creative, Sales & Marketing, and Engineering industries. Christian served as the Managing Director for AvidX until 2013. Christian also worked as a Principal Contracting Consultant for Peerlo in 2010. In 2013, they joined NES Global Talent as an Account Manager and later became a Team Leader working in Field Service for Energy & Engineering Projects until 2015. During the same year, Christian founded Tattstr Contemporary Tattoos, a company that specializes in selling contemporary and custom temporary tattoos. Finally, in 2015, they became the Global Director of Human Resources for Princess Polly.
Christian Pleasant has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields and industries. In 1992, they began their undergraduate studies at the University of Newcastle, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Visual Arts in 1997.
Throughout their career, Christian pursued various courses and training programs related to their professional development. In 2010, they completed the Engineering Industry Knowledge Foundation Workshop at Wedderburg Consulting Group, focusing on engineering recruitment training. That same year, they also obtained a diploma in Social Media Strategy from SMMU.
Christian's interest in recruitment and marketing led him to participate in several specialized courses. Christian attended the Recruitment Marketing Academy's "Marketing for Business Success" program offered by Drew Coaching in 2013-2015. In 2014, they enrolled in the "Sales Master Class" at Fusion Training. Additionally, they completed training programs in online candidate sourcing and management development through NES GT Management Training and Brain Gain Recruiting, respectively.
To further enhance their sales and networking skills, Christian participated in training programs offered by renowned author Frank Rumbauskas Jr. Christian completed the "Facebook Selling System" and "LinkedIn Selling System 2.0" courses in 2014 and the "Sales Mastery Program" in 2008.
Christian also obtained certifications in various modern business strategies and technologies through LinkedIn. Christian acquired expertise in topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) in human resources, AI and business strategy, machine learning, the application of AI in project management, and generative AI for business leaders. Christian also learned how to leverage Microsoft Bing Chat and utilize generative AI tools for research and writing. These certifications were earned between 2023 and 2023.
In terms of vocational training, Christian completed a Certificate IV in Training & Assessment in the Workplace at TAFE of NSW in 2000. Christian also pursued desktop publishing studies at TAFE NSW - Hunter Institute in 1997.
