Jay Dominick

VP for Information Technology and CIO at Princeton University

Jay Dominick is the current Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at Princeton University. Jay has held this position since August 2012. Prior to their current role, they served as the Vice Chancellor for Information and Technology Services at UNC Charlotte from April 2008 to August 2012. In this role, they managed the central IT function at the university. Jay has also served as the Chief Information Officer at Wake Forest University from January 1992 to December 2008. In this role, they managed a highly innovative, dedicated and professional staff focused on providing the world's best student technology infrastructure. Prior to their time at Wake Forest University, Jay worked at RTI International as a Computer Support specialist from August 1988 to September 1991. In this role, they were responsible for network and Unix systems administration. Jay began their career in 1984 as an Officer in the United States Air Force, where they served for four years before transitioning to the private sector.

Jay Dominick received a Ph.D. in Information and Library Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA in Business Administration from Wake Forest University.

Jay Dominick reports to Christopher L. Eisgruber, President. They are on a team with KyuJung Whang - Vice President for Facilities, Anne Jarvis - Robert H. Taylor 1930 University Librarian, and Nilufer K. Shroff - Chief Audit and Compliance Officer.
