Dave Pottebaum

Dave Pottebaum currently serves as Financial Controller at Principal Financial Group, a position held since February 2015, following an earlier role as AVP and Chief Accounting Officer. In these capacities, Dave Pottebaum leads initiatives to manage risks across accounting processes and develops human capital to support the organization’s accounting functions. Prior to this, Dave Pottebaum gained experience as Accounting Manager at Engineering Animation, Inc. from August 1996 to July 2000. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from Iowa State University, obtained between 1986 and 1990.
