Ruby Murillo

Ruby Murillo currently serves as the Internship Program Coordinator at Principal Financial Group, starting in August 2023. Previously, Ruby held various roles in educational and community support, including Community School Site Coordinator at Des Moines Public Schools from January 2022 to July 2023 and Employment Specialist at Des Moines Area Community College from October 2020 to January 2022. Ruby also contributed significantly to Augsburg University as the Director of Latinx Student Services from April 2017 to August 2020 and served in multiple capacities at Inver Hills Community College. Ruby’s early experience includes positions at Miami University and Iowa State University, focusing on student support and counseling services. Ruby holds a Master of Science in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Miami University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Iowa State University.
