Michaela Geddes

Michaela Geddes serves as the Chief Scientific Officer at Principia Assessments Ltd. since 2022, overseeing scientific functions and providing technical expertise in psychometric analysis and test theory for certification and licensure projects. Prior to this role, Michaela held the position of Senior Psychometrician at Yardstick from 2012 to 2022, where responsibilities included designing psychometric solutions tailored to client needs. Experience also includes serving as a Psychometrician for CGA-Canada, ensuring adherence to psychometric principles in credentialing, and Project Manager at Statistics New Zealand, leading a national survey project. Earlier career highlights feature the role of Research Scientist at CTB/McGraw-Hill, and Research Associate at the University of British Columbia. Michaela earned a PhD and a Master of Arts in Measurement, Evaluation, & Research Methodology from the University of British Columbia, alongside a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the same institution.
