Senior Associate at Principia

Isabel de Bruin Cardoso brings to Principia over 15 years of consulting experience with nonprofits on detecting, preventing, and responding to misconduct, primarily relating to safeguarding, prevention of (child) sexual abuse and exploitation, and other types of inter-personal harm. She supports organizations to design and measure the effectiveness of policies and procedures and conducts trainings on ethical risk management.

She is currently a PhD candidate at the Rotterdam School of Management at the Erasmus University in The Netherlands, where she researches unethical behavior in and by nonprofit organizations. Alongside her PhD, Isabel continues to consult for a range of nonprofits, philanthropic foundations, faith-based organizations, the UN, and the World Bank on organizational ethics. Isabel also guest-lectures at different universities and sits on several nonprofit boards.
