Kate Vredenburgh

Senior Associate at Principia

Kate Vredenburgh is an Assistant Professor in Philosophy at the London School of Economics. Her research focuses questions in the ethics of AI, organizational ethics, and scientific methodology. She has written on algorithmic fairness, explainable AI, and workplace participation, among other topics, and brings more than four years experience in ethics advising.

Previously, Kate was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Stanford University’s Center for Human-Centered AI (HAI) and the McCoy Family Center for Ethics in Society. She has also worked as a visiting scientist at Meta’s Responsible AI team. She holds her PhD in Philosophy from Harvard University.
