Daewoong Son

Principal Engineer at Principle Power

Daewoong Son worked as a Research Engineer at Samsung Corning Precision Materials Company, Ltd. from February 2006 to May 2011. From November 2016 to July 2017, they were in the role of Project Engineer at RE VISION CONSULTING LLC. Since August 2017, Daewoong has been employed at Principle Power, first as a Senior Naval Architect until March 2021, and then as a Principal Engineer from March 2021 onwards.

Daewoong Son pursued their education in mechanical engineering, starting with a Bachelor of Science degree from Hanyang University, which they obtained from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree at Seoul National University from 2004 to 2006. Finally, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, from 2011 to 2016, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Ocean Engineering.
