Senior Business Development Manager at Principle Power

Thalía Krüger has extensive work experience in the marine and offshore industry. Thalía is currently working as a Senior Business Development Manager at Principle Power since August 2021. Before joining Principle Power, they worked at Somarc Technical Inc. as a Senior Marine/Offshore Consultant from January 2020 to July 2021.

Thalía's longest tenure was at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where they held multiple roles over a period of sixteen years. Thalía started as an Engineer in the Ship Engineering Department in May 2003 and progressively advanced to roles such as Senior Engineer, Project Manager, and Manager of Global Offshore Operations. At ABS, they played a crucial role in developing relationships with clients, promoting ABS services, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Thalía also managed project execution, monitored progress, and identified manpower needs.

Thalía also has experience as the General Manager of South American Marine Eng & Svcs, a company they founded to provide services to seagoing vessels in Ecuadorian ports. During their time there (1994-2002), they expanded the company's capabilities to include repairs on steel structures and employed a team of specialized engineers and qualified workers.

Prior to that, they worked as a Technical Superintendent at ACOTRAMAR, where they implemented a maintenance program for a fleet of coastal trade tankers. Thalía also served as the Chief Surveyor at DIGMER - Merchant Maritime Authority, where they conducted inspections and safety programs.

Thalía started their career as a Project Engineer at ASTINAVE and also worked as a Deep Water Technology Programmer and Designer at Polytechnika Gdanska, Institut Okretowy.

Throughout their career, Thalía has demonstrated leadership, technical expertise, and a strong focus on providing quality services to clients in the marine and offshore industry.

Thalía Krüger holds an MSc. degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from Gdańsk University of Technology. Thalía also obtained a Polish Language Proficiency degree from Studium Języka Polskiego - Łódź, specializing in Polish Language and Literature, Math, and Physics. Thalía Krüger pursued their studies in math, geometry, physics, and chemistry at Escuela Politécnica Nacional. Thalía completed their high school education at Cardinal Spellman Girl's School, earning a High School Baccalaureate with a focus on math, physics, and English.

In addition to their formal education, Thalía Krüger has obtained several certifications. Thalía completed the Effective Strategy Formulation program at Rice Business - Jones Graduate School of Business in February 2019. Thalía Krüger is a Fellow of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers (SNAME), having received this distinction from SNAME in September 2018. Thalía also completed the Leadership Development Program at the Center for Creative Leadership in August 2013.
