Benjamín MacHín Serna

Benjamín Machín Serna has a diverse and extensive work experience. Benjamín started their career at IUGO Software & Design Studio as a Web Developer in 2011 and then moved on to Fundación Julio Ricaldoni as a Web Developer in 2011-2012. Benjamín later worked at Garino Hnos. S.A. as a Technical Support member in 2013-2014. Subsequently, they joined Facultad de Ingeniería - UDELAR as a Teaching Assistant and Developer from 2009 to 2014. Benjamín co-founded IDATHA in 2014, where they held the role of Co-Founder and Director until 2018, after which they became the Lead Machine Learning Engineer until 2021. Benjamín also worked at IDATHA Academy as a Professor in 2020-2021. Additionally, they taught at Hack Academy in 2019 before becoming a Professor at Centro de Posgrados y Actualización Profesional en Informática (CPAP Udelar) in 2021. Currently, Benjamín serves as the Senior Data Scientist and Data Science Team Lead at Printify since 2021.

Benjamín Machín Serna completed their Bachelor of Computer Science degree from the Universidad de la República in 2013. Benjamín furthered their education by pursuing a Master's in Science (PEDECIBA) in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning from the same university, completed in 2021. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) from Coursera, Proficiency in English from the University of Michigan in 2006, and the First Certificate in English from the University of Cambridge in 2005.
