Malika Rakhmankulova currently serves as a PhD student at PRIO since November 2023. Previously, Rakhmankulova was a research assistant on the Societies at Risk Project at Uppsala University from June 2022 to October 2023. Prior experience includes a role as a surgery resident at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from July 2017 to July 2019, focusing on general surgery during PGY1 and PGY2 years. Rakhmankulova holds a Master of Social Science in Peace and Conflict Studies from Uppsala University, a Doctor of Medicine from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine, a Master of Public Health from UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health, and dual Bachelor of Arts degrees in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry, as well as Political Science and Government from Yale University.
