Erika Martinez, MS, LPC Associate, has extensive experience in behavioral health and counseling, currently serving as a Behavioral Health Counselor and Behavioral Intervention Specialist at Prism Health North Texas since March 2018. Prior to this role, Erika was the Lead Community Health Worker at AIDS Arms, Inc. (now Prism Health North Texas) from March 2015 to March 2018 and a Bilingual Lay Health Educator at UNTHSC from May 2013 to February 2015. Previous roles include Senior Bilingual Lay Family Counselor at Youth Villages, where Erika provided Multisystemic Therapy to at-risk youth, Mental Health Worker at Hall-brooke Hospital, and an Administrative Assistant/Recruiter at CARQUEST. Erika began the professional journey as a Teacher Assistant for special needs students at C.E.S. Special Education. Erika holds a Master of Science in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut.
