Karthik Sambath, Ph.D., is a Research Scientist at the Proteogenomics Research Institute for Systems Medicine (PRISM) since October 2022, specializing in antibody drug conjugation chemistry. Previous experience includes a postdoctoral position at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai funded by the NIH from July 2019 to August 2022, and a postdoctoral research associate role at the New Jersey Institute of Technology from January 2018 to June 2019, where significant work involved the synthesis of photoacid generators and near-infrared responsive molecules. Karthik also served as a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Cincinnati from February 2016 to December 2017, focusing on the design of organic azides and their reactivity under light. Early career involvement included a research engineer position at the National Aerospace Laboratories in Bangalore and a junior research fellow role at FRLHT, with expertise in eco-friendly surface modification and organic compound isolation. Karthik holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, along with a Master's Degree and Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Bishop Heber College.
