Eric Bucher has a long and varied work experience, beginning with their role as Director of Systems Engineering at Oakley Networks from 2005 to 2008. From 2008 to 2009, they were a Systems Engineering at Raytheon's Oakley Networks Division, followed by a Senior Systems Engineer role at BlueCoat from 2009 to 2011. eric then moved to BlackRidge Technology as Manager Technical Services from 2011 to 2013, and then to Catbird Networks as a Senior Solutions Architect in 2013. In 2014, Eric Bucher joined IBM as Director, Engineering, North American Web Fraud, Trusteer, and then moved to Transmit Security as an Implementation and Solutions Architect from 2017 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Cequence Security as a Solutions Architect, and in 2021 they were appointed Principal Solutions Architect at Prismo Systems. In each of these roles, Eric Bucher has been responsible for pre-sales presentations, demonstrations, product value proposition and explainability, project management, setting expectations, milestones, deliverables, pricing, success criteria, multiparty management and coordination, orchestration, implementation, deployment, documentation, feature request feedback loops back to development, weekly cadence calls, code updates / upgrades, discovery, and results analysis.

Eric Bucher completed their high school diploma at Ridgewood High School in 1988. eric then pursued a Master's degree in Physics at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which they completed in 1994.
