At Prison Yoga Project (PYP), we believe that healing is a human right.

Every day, we bring trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness practices to people impacted by incarceration—inside prisons, jails, youth detention centers, and reentry programs across the U.S. and beyond. Through breath, movement, and connection, we create pathways for healing, resilience, and restoration where they’re needed most. Our work is rooted in the understanding that incarceration is a public health crisis, and that justice must be reimagined through compassion, not punishment. Guided by this vision, we collaborate with correctional facilities, community groups, and justice advocates to bring healing-centered practices to those impacted by incarceration.
