Barry Cook

Barry Cook is a seasoned expert in data privacy, currently serving as a Data Privacy Consultant at Data Privacy Analytics since May 2022, and as Chapter Co-Chair for OneTrust PrivacyConnect since January 2022. Additionally, Barry holds the position of Non-Executive Director for Data Privacy at vitacheck and previously acted as the Head of Privacy & Group Data Protection Officer at VFS Global, where responsibilities included creating privacy programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a privacy team. With extensive experience across various multinational organizations, Barry has led initiatives in data protection, cybersecurity, and information security, while also providing consultancy services and training on GDPR compliance. Educational credentials include an MSc in Legal Studies in Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Law from Albany Law School and a BSc(Hons) in Integrated Engineering with Management from the University of Bedfordshire.
