Michael LaVista is the Founder and CEO of Caxy Interactive, a Digital Transformation company established in January 2000, dedicated to enhancing business growth and customer satisfaction through strategic consulting and execution. In addition to leading Caxy, LaVista serves as CTO and Advisor at Best Money Moves, a financial wellness SaaS platform, guiding technology investments and creating value for stakeholders since February 2016. As a Startup Advisor for LetzGo and SampleExchange, LaVista contributes to customer engagement and scientific research sharing initiatives, respectively. LaVista is also involved with the Private Directors Association® Digital Committee and serves on the board of ConnectLakeCounty, which aims to improve digital equity in northern Illinois. Prior to their professional career, LaVista pursued a Bachelor's degree in English, Engineering, and Music from Cornell University and was a member of the band Lemon, 80s Enough from 1996 to 2000.
Private Directors Association®
The Private Directors Association® (PDA) is a non-profit organization of, by, and for private company business owners, their executives, and directors. The mandate is to define and model private company governance excellence for corporate, ESOPs, family-owned, partnerships, private equity portfolio companies, and start-ups/venture capital financed—at all levels of revenue generation. An individual or corporate annual membership provides: • Unlimited attendance at all live City/Chapter events nationally or, when available, via live-streaming of those events. • Conferences, webinars and other digital content, exclusive chat rooms/groups, and a library of knowledge to inform, educate, and connect members on relevant private company topics. • A network of qualified members for private corporate board director position considerations.
