Maria Olivia Egemba

Maria Olivia Egemba, MPH, currently serves as an Academic Coach at Private Prep and has extensive experience with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene as a Senior Evaluation Coordinator since December 2015. In this role, Maria managed the New York City Teens Connection program, focusing on research and evaluation to reduce teen pregnancy rates across several boroughs. Maria has developed manuscripts and reports, overseen data collection, and provided technical assistance to community organizations. Previous roles include teaching, environmental coordination, and translation work for various organizations, complemented by a strong academic background in public health and education from Columbia University and the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
