Access To Finance Specialist at Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU)

Paul Nuwagaba is an experienced finance professional currently serving as an Access to Finance Specialist at the Private Sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU), where responsibilities include providing expertise for the implementation of a World Bank-funded project aimed at supporting women enterprises in Uganda. Prior to this role, Nuwagaba held various leadership positions at Housing Finance Bank from April 2009 to December 2021, including Chief Credit Officer and Head of Credit, where guidance was provided to teams managing sector-oriented products for large and medium enterprises. Nuwagaba also played a key role in developing business product offerings for institutional and small-medium enterprises. Nuwagaba holds an MBA from Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University.

Private sector Foundation Uganda (PSFU) is Uganda’s umbrella body for the private sector made up of over 230 Business Associations, Corporate bodies and the major Public Sector Agencies that support private sector growth. Since its founding in 1995, PSFU has served as a focal point for private sector advocacy as well as capacity building and continues to sustain a positive dialogue with Government on behalf of the private sector. PSFU is also Government’s implementation partner for several projects and programmes aimed at strengthening the private sector as an engine of economic growth in Uganda.
