Levi Herron is an Emergency Medical Technician with experience at Pro EMS since February 2021, responding to high-volume 911 calls in urban settings while collaborating with various emergency personnel. In addition to EMT responsibilities, Levi serves as an Assistant News Editor for The Michigan Daily, covering government issues, and has experience as a Staff Reporter focusing on public safety. Academic pursuits include a Bachelor’s degree in History from the University of Michigan, with a study abroad program at Queen Mary University of London, and prior research roles at institutions such as Harvard University. Pro EMS
Pro EMS has served the City of Cambridge, Massachusetts since 1969, providing 911 emergency medical services in cooperation with the Cambridge Fire, Police and Emergency Communications Departments. Additionally, we provide emergency medical services to Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Pro EMS partners with Emerson Hospital to provide advanced life support (ALS) services to the communities of Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Lincoln, Maynard, Stowe and Weston, collectively known as the Central Middlesex Emergency Response Association (CMERA), operating under the Emerson Paramedics brand. Primary backup services are provided to the towns of Watertown and Belmont. Pro EMS also works with several related entities. Pro EMS Center for Medics, a CoAEMSP accredited paramedic and EMS training center, Prodigy, a CAPCE accredited online learning management system and Pro EMS Solutions, our EMS reimbursement, technology and administrative services division. We’ve been recognized by numerous state and national organizations for our commitment to excellence. Pro EMS was the first ambulance service in Massachusetts to be accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services (CAAS) and we are current members of the Academy of International Mobile Healthcare Integration (AIMHI), a national collective of high-performance EMS systems.
