Chavdar Angelov has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Chavdar began their career as an IT Supervisor at First Investment Bank, where they led the development of various IT systems and solutions across the bank's branches. Chavdar then joined Monitor Liability Managers as a Lead Software Architect, where they headed a team to develop the first-ever online quote binding system for business insurance. Chavdar later joined The Doctors Company, initially as an Assistant Vice President, IT Architecture, where they led cultural and structural transformation for a development team of 80. Chavdar was quickly promoted to Vice President IT Architecture, where they acted as the de facto CTO and helped guide the IT team through multiple mergers and acquisitions. In their most recent role at ProAssurance, Chavdar served as Vice President Technology Architecture and Application Security, responsible for overseeing technology operations in a company with over $4.6 billion in assets.

Chavdar Angelov has an extensive education history in the field of computer science and executive management. In 1993-1998, they completed a Masters in Computer Science, focusing on the study of computer science. In 1999, they pursued a Ph.D.-ABD degree in Computer Science and Mechanics, which is still ongoing.

Chavdar has also engaged in various executive education programs to enhance their management skills and expertise. In 2008, they completed an executive program on "Driving Strategic Value from IT - PMI Certification Credit" at Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management. In 2009, they pursued an executive education program specializing in "Customer-Focused Innovation" at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. In 2013, they attended MIT Sloan School of Management for "Developing and Managing a Successful Technology and Product Strategy."

Furthermore, Chavdar has deepened their knowledge in cybersecurity by attending the executive education program on "Cybersecurity: The Intersection of Policy and Technology" at Harvard Kennedy School in 2016. Additionally, they hold certifications through the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education and affiliations with professional organizations like the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
