Pete Lanctot has a diverse and extensive work experience in the music industry. Pete started their career as a Music Partners Teacher and Suzuki Violin Teacher at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music from 2010 to 2015. During this time, they also served as a Music Mind Games Class Instructor and Theory/Composition Group Class Instructor. In 2011, they co-founded Bantam Studios, a music program that focuses on adult education and opportunity to learn how to play an instrument as an adult. Pete worked as the Co-Founder and Operations Director for the program until 2020, reaching over 1,500 students and creating a community of individuals passionate about music.
In 2012, Pete Lanctot joined HYPERBALLAD MUSIC as a Composer, Producer, and Studio Musician. Pete continued to work in this role until the present. In 2016, they briefly worked as an Educational Accounts Manager at ProAudioStar before transitioning to the role of Customer Service and Chargebacks Manager, where they stayed until 2021. In April 2021, Pete was promoted to the position of Director of Operations at ProAudioStar.
Outside of their employment, Pete Lanctot founded Analog Tape Project in 2020. This project involves analog tape mixing and a royalty-free analog tape loop library subscription service. Pete is known for their work as a musician, audio engineer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Pete has collaborated and toured with various artists and bands, including Durand Jones and the Indications, Aaron Frazer, Iris Dement, and Lady Lamb, among others. Pete has also scored and recorded soundtracks for numerous films and worked on virtual concert series.
Pete Lanctot attended Lehigh University from 2004 to 2009, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Theory and Composition.
