Field Service Engineer II at Proautomated

PJ Syrrist has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. They started their career in 2012 as the Director of the Bridge Academy Maker Club, where they conducted meetings and taught students circuit analysis and mechanical skills. From 2013 to 2015, PJ worked as a Sailing Instructor and Training Manager at Longshore Sailing School, where they trained staff, managed private lesson scheduling, and taught sailing courses.

In 2015, PJ joined the University of Connecticut Student Union as an Audio Visual Specialist, where they coordinated with different departments to provide audio visual equipment for meetings and events.

PJ then ventured into the engineering field, working as a New Product Development Intern at Medtronic in 2016, and an Automation Engineering Intern at BASF in 2017. In these roles, they designed and implemented testing procedures, composed safety documents, and assisted in the design and implementation of production line processes.

Since 2018, PJ has been associated with ProAutomated, initially as an Industrial Automation Operations Leader and currently as a Client Relationships Manager. Their responsibilities in these roles include managing client relationships and overseeing industrial automation operations.

In 2018, PJ also briefly worked as an Engineering/R&D Lab Technician at Diba Industries, Inc.

Overall, PJ Syrrist has gained experience in client relationship management, industrial automation operations, engineering, audio visual coordination, sailing instruction, training, and leadership throughout their career.

PJ Syrrist attended Staples High School from 2009 to 2013. Following high school, they enrolled at the University of Connecticut from 2013 to 2018, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree. Their field of study at the University of Connecticut was Electrical Engineering and German Studies. In 2016 and 2017, they also studied German Studies at Heidelberg University. Additionally, in May 2013, they obtained a First Aid certification from the American Red Cross.
