Early scientific endeavors included research roles at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in laboratories specializing in enzymatic inhibitor analysis and bioorganic chemistry. Aurea holds a Licenciatura in Chemistry and has completed an intensive course in Regulatory Affairs.
