Anita Johansen has extensive experience in research and development in the healthcare industry. Anita started their career as an intern at AutoImmune Inc in 1996. Anita then worked as a teaching assistant at The Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences before joining Dansk Droge as a Product Development Scientist. In 2004, they joined Ferrosan, where they held various roles including R&D Scientist, Team Leader, Manager of Pharmaceutical Development, and Manager of Product Development & Support.
In 2011, Johansen joined Pfizer Consumer Healthcare as a Director of Product Design and later served as the Senior Director of R&D Global Wellness and the Sr. Director of R&D Global Wellness Technical Core Brand Growth. During their time at Pfizer, they played a key role in global product development projects and led the creation of a state-of-the-art Global R&D Innovation Center in Denmark.
In 2019, Johansen joined Novozymes OneHealth as the Head of Product Development & Formatting, where they built a highly competent development team and led the activities for final product development and product format development.
In 2021, they joined USP Zdrowie as the R&D Director, Core Business, where they directed functions of Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, and NPD Project Management for various categories.
Currently, Johansen is working at Probi AB as the Interim Chief Executive Officer and the VP Research & Development. In their role as the VP R&D, they are responsible for leading the overall R&D activities for Probi worldwide.
Anita Johansen's education history includes several significant achievements. Anita obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutics from the Danish University of Pharmaceutical Sciences (University of Copenhagen) between 1997 and 2002. Prior to their doctoral studies, they acquired a M.Sc. in Pharmacy from the same institution, spanning from 1991 to 1997. Anita completed their secondary education at Solrød Gymnasium from 1988 to 1991 and attended Sydkystens privatskole from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, they participated in the Stifinder (Pathfinder) Programme in 2010 and 2011, though it is unclear if they received a degree from this program. In terms of certifications, Anita earned a certificate in Managing Globally from LinkedIn in March 2019.
