Melvin Levett has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Melvin began their career as a professional basketball player for the Saskatchewan Hawks in 1999, competing in the International Basketball Association. After their time in the NBA, they went on to work as a basketball skills trainer for Melvin Levett Basketball, coaching and training both boys and girls in the Cincinnati area. Additionally, they worked as a motivational speaker in the Cincinnati area and as a camp coach instructor for Pro Camps Worldwide. In 2017, Levett became the boys and girls tennis coach at Winton Woods High School in the Winton Woods City School District. Melvin also served as the general manager for Team Bearcat Jam in the Basketball Tournament. Most recently, they joined Winton Woods City Schools in 2020 as an English Second Language Teacher. Throughout their career, Levett has aimed to enhance the skill level of athletes while focusing on mental and physical strength, agility, and a well-rounded approach to basketball.
Melvin Levett attended VASJ from 1991 to 1994, where they completed high school. From 1994 to 1995, they attended Euclid High School for their senior year. Subsequently, from 1995 to 1999, Melvin pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Arts and Science at the University of Cincinnati.
