Johannes Sood

Johannes Sood has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Johannes started their career as a Wissenschaftliche Hilfskraft at Karlsruher Institut für Technologie (KIT), where they planned and conducted experiments in the field of photopolymerization in aerosols. Johannes then worked as a Development Engineer at Vitrocell Systems GmbH, where they developed laboratory equipment for cell culture and environmental research.

After that, Johannes joined Advanced Applications GmbH as a Business Intelligence Consultant and later became a Senior Consultant Digitalization. In these roles, they consulted businesses on the implementation of Business Intelligence software, Jedox, with a focus on projects within the SAP environment.

In 2022, Johannes joined Process Automation Solutions as the Head of Digital Product Management. In this position, they led the digital corporate product management, specifically focusing on industrial IoT and industrial AI. Johannes also had direct product responsibility for Energy Management, Manufacturing, and Edge products related to the industrial IoT strategy. Johannes successfully transitioned an IoT subsidiary from a project-based organization to a product-based one during their time there.

Prior to their current role, Johannes also held the position of Business Development Manager Digitalization at Process Automation Solutions. In this role, they led business development initiatives for an industrial IoT solution, leveraging cloud infrastructure based on Azure. Johannes identified and explored new business avenues and strategic opportunities to foster growth, while collaborating with international sales teams to expand into global markets.

Johannes Sood completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Bioingenieurwesen at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2010 to 2014. Johannes then pursued a Master of Science degree in the same field at KIT from 2014 to 2016. In 2019, they attended Hochschule Anhalt and obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Elektro- und Informationstechnik in 2022.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Johannes also obtained several certifications. In April 2022, they became Microsoft Certified in Azure Fundamentals. In 2023, they acquired multiple certifications from Haufe Akademie, including "Agiles Produktmanagement I: Produkte kunden- und marktorientiert gestalten," "E-Prüfung: Zertifizierte:r Agile Produktmanager:in," and "Agiles Produktmanagement II: Produkte flink und effizient liefern." Johannes also obtained the "Energiemanagement-Fachkraft EnMF-TÜV" certification from TÜV Süd in August 2023.
