Jay Bortolussi

Co-Founder, Board Member at ProConnections

Jay Bortolussi is a Co-Founder and member of Board of Directors of ProConnections, Inc. He currently serves as the Chief Systems Architect. His responsibilities include overall project management and the supervision of process and functional design activities, including the development and testing of solution components and prototypes. With over 26 years of experience, Jay is noted for his pragmatic, result-orientated approach to his projects. Jay’s career began at General Electric working on automated systems and simulator software for multiple defense programs. From there, he gained expertise in areas such as, embedded systems development, enterprise-scale database systems architecture, e-commerce server design and real-time embedded video server systems. While at Lau Technologies, Jay helped develop the Ohio drivers’ license program, one of the first secure digital credentialing programs in the country. That led to work in facial recognition technology at Lau, later known as Viisage Technology and L1 where Jay was a key member of the teams that authored two patents on applied facial recognition technology.

Jay holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Sciences from Providence College, Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Boston University.
