Dan Walden

Dan Walden has a diverse work experience history. Dan started their career at KPMG, where they gained experience in financial due diligence, audit work, and transaction services. After leaving KPMG, Walden worked at Sainsbury's, where they focused on finance support and led a project to reverse the escalating cost of product returns. Dan then joined Halfords as a Commercial Finance Manager and later became the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager. At Dunelm, Walden held multiple roles, including Head of Commercial Finance, Commercial Finance Director, Business Director - Made to Measure, and Deputy CFO/Group Finance Director. During their time at Dunelm, they led various finance teams and drove growth and change initiatives. Walden then joined Booking.com, where they served as the CFO of the Transport business and later became the Executive Director of Traveljigsaw Insurance. Currently, they hold the position of CFO at ProCook.

Dan Walden's education history includes several significant achievements. In 1995, they attended the Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe, where they studied Economics, French, and Geography until 2001. Following this, from 2002 to 2005, they pursued a BSc (Hons) degree in Money, Banking & Finance at the University of Birmingham.

In 2006, they enrolled at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and completed their ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) qualification by 2008. Continuing their education, in 2016, Dan attended Hult Ashridge for the Senior Executive Programme, specializing in Leading Change & Growth.

Apart from their formal education, Dan Walden obtained additional certifications. In 2010, they obtained the ACA (Associate Chartered Accountant) certification from ICAEW. In 2004, they achieved the Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Award from The Duke of Edinburgh's Award institution. Lastly, in 2000, Dan earned a Grade 8 Piano (Merit) certificate from ABRSM.
